THE MYTH EMBROIDERED:
PARTHENOPE AND ULYSSES
For Holy Caftan’s SS26 Pre-Collection, Gabriela Fluss Tramontano has imagined a capsule collection featuring exclusive embroideries that tell a fragment of myth suspended between sea and legend. Ulysses, the wandering hero, sails restless waters, tied to the mast of his ship as he bravely and cunningly challenges the Sirens’ bewitching song. Two dolphins, guardians of the journey and spirits of the sea, dance around him, while a pistrix, a fantastical sea creature, emerges from the depths, adding a touch of mystery to the scene.
At the heart of this embroidered tale is Parthenope, the Siren who sang not just to seduce, but for love. Rejected by Ulysses, she sank into the waves, and her body washed ashore on the coasts of Southern Italy, where she gave rise to the city of Neapolis-Naples (which this year celebrates 2,500 years since its founding in 475 BC).
This embroidery is a tribute to my city and its Mediterranean heritage, to feminine strength and the thin line that separates destiny from desire.
The items will be available for pre-order from December 21, 2025 to January 21, 2026.
The delivery period will be from April 1st to April 30th 2026..
